KDE 4.10.5: kscd not included?

Hi,

I'm currently running KDE 4.10.5 built from source on Slackware 14.0 on my main production PC. I plan to move it to Slackware 14.1 with the stock KDE 4.10.5 (shaved down with some rebuilt packages) in about a couple of weeks.

I just noticed the kscd audio CD player is not included. Was it left out on purpose, or just forgotten? Most of my clients use audio CDs at work, and they complain when they insert a CD and nothing happens. I'm using kscd on my "homegrown" version of KDE, and I like it.

Cheers,

Niki

Not anymore: kscd is now an individual package. Here's the link to the source tarball:

http://download.kde.org/stable/4.10....-4.10.5.tar.xz

And here's my build script for it:

http://www.microlinux.fr/slackware/M...urce/kde/kscd/

libmusicbrainz is an optional dependency.

PS: I suspect the package has been forgotten, since it was part of kdemultimedia in the previous release.

It has not been forgotten. It will not compile if it cannot find MusicBrainz.

Ah OK. Thanks for the heads up, Eric. Anyway, it's no big deal to build it. I'll mark this thread as SOLVED.
