Ok all you other Slackware and KDE destop fans, this is it. Tip of the day. Got to www.kde.org and find the link for the ftp sites, and get ready for the best ride in town. I downloaded the entire KDE package just in the past few hours, yes the "Official" KDE 3.4.0 release from the K Desktop Environment Group. Tip tip tip. use pkgtool to remove all instances of the kde desktop. be sure when you Download the tgz files you als get all the txt files and then after you remove kde from your system. change to the directory you put the files into and type installpkg kde*.tgz and sit back and the work is done, then the same for the office tools and allthe other files arts and more. Be sure to get the Text files associtated with each file. Then reboot the system and at the login type your login and pw, then type startx and you will be happly greeted with all your settings but the new KDE 3.4.0 fully installed and ready to go for you. It is working like a champ here and I am super happy that I did this because I am now up to date at least on one front. Next step is the 2.6.11.5 kernal install. This one will be really something to get done. But with this I just may be able to make it happen.

I definitely have the problem with Kmail. I can receive but not send any mail, so I downloaded Thunderbird and I have no problems with that at all

In retrospect.

I thought a Auth was needed for my E-Mail to send, but no, there is no auth needed. Take the Auth off for sending, this should help.
