KDE 3.2.1

Hi,

Dropline is very nice if you want to check it out anyway. Very easy to install.

You can download the packages for KDE 3.2.1 from here:

http://www.linuxpackages.net/search_...me=kde&ver=9.1

I used pkgtool to remove anything and everything to do with KDE that was already on my system, and then used pkgtool to install the 3.2.1 packages after downloading them all into their own sub-directory. Restarted Xwindows after using using xwmconfig to select KDE desktop as default.

So far it has worked fine but haven't really messed about with it too much.

Good luck.....

If slackware.com has it, i would rather get from them than say linuxpacakges.net.

http://www.slackware.com/pb/search.p...ent&string=kde

http://www.slackware.com/pb/search.p...rent&string=qt

http://www.slackware.com/pb/search.p...nt&string=arts

If slackware.com is slow, you can get the above from its mirrors too.

BTW, 3.2.1 is in the change log, but the mirrors dont have them yet, you might as well wait for another couple of days to get the latest kde.

You can also find KDE 3.2.1 Slackware packages here--

ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.2...Slackware/9.1/

Download them to a directory (I burned them to a CD), change to that directory and do "upgradepkg *" I worked really well for me.
