Kaddressbook not working after installing AlienBob KDE 4.6.5
Posting this as information for anyone who may hit the same problem.
I am running 13.37 and decided to update KDE to 4.6.5 using AlienBob's packages. I decided to stay with kdepim 4.4.10 because of all of the reported problems with kmail. All went well except that kaddressbook no longer showed any entries. It showed my "Personal Contacts" folder but no content. Akonadi was set up correctly with the Personal Contacts resource pointing at ~/.local/share/contacts/ which contains a load of vcf files. This had all worked ok on KDE 4.5.5.
After some searching I found a solution which is to rebuild kdepim and kdepim-runtime 4.4.10 against KDE 4.6.5. After doing this, the address book entries are visible again.
