Question JFS actually updated? What is this (new) thing all about?

I have noticed with 2.6.35 and 2.6.36 kernels under the filesystems menu, there are (new) designations for most of the filesystems there, however looking through all the changelogs, I find no real mention about most of the filesystems having any changes made to them, whats that all about?

Since I also use JFS as my Linux FS, lately I have been wondering if it is even being maintained at all, since nothing is going on anymore on jfs.sourceforge.

I think they might have reorganized things in that, if you start with an old config, options will appear "new" and yet they are only new because they have been rearranged or renamed.

Either way, I don't think "new" has ever indicated a change in version, only a new option or feature. Obviously, none of these things marked "new" are really new.

Ah, thanks for clarifying that.
