Java compiler broken in -current?

Recently tried to recompile a java application following the massive changes in -current, amongst them gcc.

I now get the following error with the gcj java precompiler:

Code:
gcj: error trying to exec 'ecj1': execvp: No such file or directory
Best way to see error in practice is to try the pdftk.SlackBuild from SBo...

Anyone seen this? Googling the error gives little useful help to me...

Thanks in advance!

It's this bug in gcc you ran into, present since 4.3.0 at least: http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35923
I did not see a patch for it yet.

This seems to describe the solution to your issue: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=220779
I am not sure if Pat will build a new gcc package with this ftp://sourceware.org/pub/java/ecj-latest.jar added or just leave it.

Thanks much!

Would be nice if either was included - I suspect the need to compile Java programs won't go away anytime soon just because oracle bought Sun ;-)
