issue with iptables

ok:
slackware 12.2
iptables is installed
problem: no rc.firewall in rc.d
( am i missing something or is that the right location)

You have to create the rc.firewall using "iptables" commands. You can get an automatically generated rc.firewall file at this link: http://connie.slackware.com/~alien/efg/. You can then later on customized it to your needs. One more thing: you have to chmod +x the rc.firewall once you placed it in rc.d. For a secure setup, also make the file readable and writable only for the user root.

cool man thanks alot. i have been using guarddog and i dont like it. feel like i am trying to work while wearing think ski gloves on. Also, you think slack is a good distro to use if your looking at getting into using linux in a professional setting?
