ISO not working
ok I downloaded Slack9 and tried to update from slack8.1 I have dowloaded the iso from 3 different sites thinking the iso might have been bad and when I try to boot after using all discsI get and error saying No Emulation Booting
Any Ideas this one has me confused never seen this error before Thanks in advance |
cdrecord -v speed=5 dev=0,0,0 -data /path/to/foo.iso
Works everytime for me. |
Maybe you got a bad iso - checksum it with the md5sum provided from official site
Maybe you burned the iso as a file not as an image? |

It sounds like your bios doesn't like the boot image.
try making some boot floppies. |
Thanks guys, for the Advice today I booted my machine up with the cd still in from last night and everything worked fine not sure what the problem was cause I never changed a thing guess 4th time is a charm. So I didnt even have to use the boot floppies I made.
Thanks for all you advice I appreciate it |
Might have just been the Linux Gods shining down on you today ;)
Or patience... Sometimes I think things aren't working, then I just wait a few minutes till they "work out" and sometimes it just works. :) Cool |
