iSight webcam do not work despite extracting the Apple driver.

Hi,
I am dual-booting Slackware 14.0 (not current) on a Macbook 5,2 white from 2009, with Mac OS X. http://www.everymac.com/systems/appl...dia-specs.html

Since I wanted to use the iSight webcam for skype, I used isight-firmware-tools and followed the instructions here http://bovitron.com/README.Slackware and the driver was successfuly extracted. I rebooted but still skype refuses to recognize it and no webcam at all is detected. However, on Mac OS X, I tested iSight and it works well.

What should I do?

Once you did the extraction are you sure you did this part:
Quote:

"grab the firmware from the Apple driver and put it in /lib/firmware."
That needs to be done manually.

Sure. But I followed the instructions and as a result, isight.fw is present in /lib/firmware.
