is there any way to see what Users are on My system?

Well, i installed slackware, but i have only been able to log into root, and i dont want to keep using root for security purposes.

Now, i remember when i installed Slack i had gave myself a user name, and that is my main prob.... i remember the password but not the usr name... is there any way i can see what users there is? i can get into root fine. or is there any way i can make a new one?

thanks

If you open up the /etc/passwd file, the user name you created should be on the bottom.

it says "nobody"

so im thinking i didnt make one? is there any way to make a new user?

Yep. Just use the command adduser and answer a few of the questions. The only things you should have to fill out are the user name and password. The rest you can just hit enter on.
