is selinux installad?? slack Kernel 2.6.14
Guys, quick question regarding SELinux and the Kernel 2.6.14 (slackware 10.2)
i'll copy and paste this post there as well.
I recently upgraded from 2.4.31 to 2.6.14 and wanted to start learning SELinux. All the options are chosen in the kernel regarding SELinux and from what I hear SELinux comes installed in the 2.6 kernels by default (or is the problem that SELinux one comes installed and ready to go on Fedora Core and RedHat Linux Enterprise Edition??
here is the output from dmesg regarding selinux
# dmesg | grep selinux
selinux_register_security: Registering secondary module capability
selinux_register_security: There is already a secondary security module registered.
any ideas?
there is no /selinux directory or /etc/selinux
im thinking that the capability is built into the kernel, but the patches and utilities have to be downloaded from nsa.gov?
thanks for any input you guys have
cheers
