About 5GB+ of hard disk space for a full install

If you leave out KDE, and go with just XFCE, you can reduce the size of the Slackware install by at least 1GB. You should be able to install Slackware without KDE to your partition.

I'm not surprised. I need 5.7GiB for /usr alone, and I've not added all that much to it.
