Iomega Zip 100 Parallel Port Installation

Greetings,

Does anyone know how to install an external zip 100 drive (parallel port) in linux? Can I just add an fstab line? If so what do I add?

Running Slack 10.1 w/ default kernel

(Side note, I tried googling for answers but only found outdated stuff about redhat 6 and such...)

Thanks,

well...i don't know the 2.4 kernel but you'll need modules for :
-par. port
-zip-drive
-scsi-support.
( i don't know the module-names )

in your fstab it should be looking like :

/dev/sda /mnt/zipdrive vfat noauto,user,rw 0 0

( if you have more scsi-drives. it will be sdb, sdc....etc. )
and you need to make the mountpoint "#mkdir /mnt/zipdrive ".
