Ok, I updated to Gware Gnome 2.10 and I'm loving it so far with the exception of one problem.

I downloaded the following packages from linuxpackages.net

Gaim
FireFox
Azureus
OpenOffice

I ran an updatepkg on Gaim and installpkg on the other 3 and here are the results.

Gaim updated fine...
Firefox installed and added an icon to the Internet menu
Azureus doesn't have any icons, can't find it on the hard drive yet pkgtool says it's there and that I can remove it.
OpenOffice did the same exact thing that Azureus did.

What do I need to look at to figure out what's going on?

I already installed the Bittorrent client that comes with Slack but I really want to get back to Azureus since I use it on all of my systems.

So the actual problem is, that you cannot activate the programs, eventhough you installed them?

Have look at the log entries for the installed packages to see what they put and where. Just open /var/log/packages/package_namexxx with your favourite text editor.
