installpkg

Hey guys,

I'm a little bit of a noob, so be gentle with me. I have slack running on my box, and I wanted to install apache. I was following a tutorial online for doing this, when i noticed that "installpkg" wasnt installed, i thought it might be becuase I wasnt superuser, but to no avail. Where can i get isntallpkg to install please ??

Installpkg definitely must be there, if you did full install.

You must be root to run it, yes.
If you didn't do full install, you have to install installpkg manually from a installation cd (1st CD). using "pkgtool" command.
It is part of "pkgtools-10.2.0-i486-5.tgz" package,
PACKAGE LOCATION: ./slackware/a

did you check by running "which installpkg"?
Update: run "which installpkg" as root and see what it gives
