Installing Slackware 10.2 over Redhat 9.0

Currently I'm running RH9 on my IBM 380ED Laptop: it has a Floopy, CD, 3Gb HD and 92 Megs of RAM.

I have downloaded Slackware 10.2 as ISO's via BitTorrent and plan to burn them as CD's on a different computer.

I wish to install / replace my current intallation of Redhat 9.0.

I would like to boot from a Floppy because the Laptop has trouble booting from the CDROM drive.

I want Slackware to start in it's Character User Interface with an option to StartX.

What is the best way of installing Slackware over Redhat?

Thanks in advance,
Bob

Do you have anything you want to save....?

If not, just install from the scratch. Slack will recognize RH partitions and you can install on those or just make them from the beginning.

And, by default, Slack boots into the CLI. You can also poke around and find many many bootdisks (even on the CDs you are downloading) for helping to install Slack. As was mentioned by AxeZ, just replace your current distro in the setup -- if you want to keep the partitions the same, there's no point in redoing them, though Setup gives you the option of formatting, which isn't a bad idea at all.
