Question Installing Slackware 10.0 without the CDs?

Well, I've decided after using Fedora (Core 1 and 2) that I want to get my feet wet with Slackware and see what everyone is raving about. However, have a quick question for everyone -

Is it possible to extract the ISOs for Slackware and install it without actually burning it to a CD? I have PartitionMagic 8.0, so I could set up the Linux partitions from Windows ahead of time (I run a dual boot machine with two hard drives).

Any information would be great.

mount -o loop -t iso9660 -r /path/to/file.iso /path/to/mountpoint

This should work. I've used it a couple times myself, though always on a network install.

Well, I ended up not needing to mount the ISO, afterall. I had a FAT32 partition on the second drive, and found out that Slackware could install from such a system.

However, I still tested what you suggested, just to give feedback. It worked perfectly, wrote that down so I wouldn't forget it next time. Thanks for the response.
