Question installing slack 8.1 and fluxbox

Just a simple one, I have downloaded slack8.1 and want to install it and use fluxbox as my wm. I realise i will need some libraries, should i use the gnome or kde libraries? do i really need them?

any tips on how to go about installing flux and slack8.1 would be awesome!

First off why don't you go check out fluxbox and see what you will need...I ran it at one time and as I recall I didn't need much. After that I is installed I believe you pico /home/username/.xinitrc and add exec fluxbox or whatever command it has to start the wm.

Check out JetBlackz Simply Linux

There is a section on Fluxbox at the bottom.
