Question Installing ruby with rails+mysql+apache on Slackware 10.2 from source

Hi guys, I need some help on my slackware 10.2, I haven't tried yet installing ruby with rails or Ruby on Rails here on my pc. What i want is to compile it from source because i put all my installed source from this directory /usr/local/etc/ so if its from source, i can place the ruby on rails to that path
I tried to find some related threads. i found from marsdude but the link wasn't there anymore. Anyone here can help?

if you go to www.linuxpackages.net and do a search for ruby they already have an install file for it for 10.2. Here is the actual link for the ruby install
http://www.linuxpackages.net/search_...=ruby&ver=10.2
