Question installing kde4 on slack 12.2


where do i find kde4 for slack 12.2?
i would like to test the latest version.i have tested older versions and i would like to know the safest way to install as i had problems before,like after running the remove kde 3 script i couldnt do anything and had to reinstall.anyway any information would be greatly appreciated!!!

At this point in the game, I believe you would have to build it yourself. There have been too many updates in -current (which is where it was located) to be able to just install some packages. -current is in RC2 stage, so we are hopeful it will be released soon as Slackware 13.0 (but if you look over the "Big Silly Just for fun..." thread you will see that some of us are slowly losing our minds while waiting).

to rixtr66: These packages are actually in -current, slackware 13.0(which includes KDE 4.2.4) will be released soon and so the right way to test it is waiting some day more(we hope always tomorrow for slackware 13.0), however the last version is KDE 4.3.0 released some week ago, this will be added to slackware-current when Pat packages it(maybe he has already got all ready ).

So, I'd wait someday.
