Installing Beryl on Slackware

Well I've had it working for a few hours and looks ok even if it does fsck up quite a few keyboard shortcuts.

Anyway there was a thread somewhere that explained how to install beryl and had links to all the packages you need, but the life of me I can't find it.

Has anyone seen it, or know what I'm talking about?

Look at http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...63#post2765863.

I've tried both Compiz and Beryl without success. (But not on Slackware.).

Not the post I was looking for but thanks anyway.

I've got Beryl working but it causes problems with keyboard shortcuts that involve ctrl. - i.e. ctrl-c ctrl-v and there doesn't seem to be any way of globally disabling beryl from capturing the keyboard. There is also a noticable delay when accessing menus in programs.

I've asked on beryl forum about the keyboard shortcut problem but no reply yet.

The effects are very nice but tbh you can't do any serious work with it, at least not if you want to use key shortcuts, or if you want menus to open when you click on them and not 2 seconds later.
