installer won't let me select disk sets to install

I am having trouble getting 10.2 installed. I have the disk sets downloaded that I want to install and I put them all in one directory on a hard drive on the systme that's getting upgraded. Adding the swap is fine, and I get the partitions set up right and have no problem selecting the source. I have tried both mounting it myself and telling the install script where it is and having it mount it for me. Either way, as soon as I get past selecting the source, it goes back to the main menu, and keeps putting me back there when I select the next step. Anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this and what I can do to fix it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

David

IIRC, you've to keep directory structure: slackware/[sets]

I have preserved the directory structure. I tried running setup 2> /output.txt to see if I could snag any error messages, and there was one saying that it couldn't create /var/log/tmp/setup because it already existed and then it tried to remove that directory unsuccessfully because it was a directory, but it used a starndard rm command without -rf. I'm not exactly sure itf that was the directory, I'm trying to remember it off the top of my head, but I do know the final directory in the name was setup, and it had the setup.in file in it.
