Installation

ok, well i know i screwed up the installation, and i would like to start completely over. Heres where i run into problems, when i try to boot the disk, i get nothing but a black screen after the compaq splash screen. Is there anything in particular i need to do??? Sorry for the stupid question, just never had to install slackware before

You might try booting a (gasp!) windoze install disk. See if it comes up at all. Next, I'd check your BIOS settings to see if you are set to boot from cd. Other than that, you might try getting a boot disk off of the slackware site and boot off of it. Then, you can mount the cd and run the install program again.

never mind i gave my comp a nice bitchslap, and it seemed to get the concept of booting =) thanks any way
