I finally got it and everythings works now. Just wanted to say what I did in case someone else has the problem.
I just installed the appropriate 4 Alsa packages for the new kernel. I had to keep the old ones, because they are needed for the old kernel.
So the output of ls /var/log/packages | grep alsa is:
Code:
lars@desktop:~$ ls /var/log/packages | grep alsa
alsa-driver-1.0.5a-i486-2
alsa-driver-1.0.6a_2.4.27-i486-1
alsa-lib-1.0.5-i486-1
alsa-lib-1.0.6-i486-1
alsa-oss-1.0.5-i486-1
alsa-oss-1.0.6-i486-1
alsa-utils-1.0.5-i486-1
alsa-utils-1.0.6-i486-1
The 1.05a driver creates a sound folder in /lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel and the 1.06a driver creates a sound folder in /lib/modules/2.4.27/kernel. I don't know if that is the correct way, but it works. After installation I just had to run
Code:
alsamixer
alsactl store
and everything is fine again.
Thanks again to all the people who helped me with all that kernel stuff
.
