Install not working with USB keyboard ?

Read the title. Any way to use my new USB keyboard during the install phase ? I got rid of my old one and now I can't even resume the install process...

You left out quite a few "minor details." Are you saying that
you swapped keyboards in the middle on installing a Linux
distribution?

Heh, no sorry. I changed my old PS/2 keyboard a while ago but tried installing Slackware yesterday. So I have my USB keyboard plugged in, tried installing but couldn't input anything.

Sorry if I was confusing you. :)

I'm having practically the same problem. I had a USB->PS/2 adapter to use during the install. However, now that I have Slackware installed, it won't recognize my USB Keyboard at all (still have to use the adapter). Same thing with my USB Mouse as well, even after running mouseconfig and trying several options there, only works with the adapter on (and the IMPS/2 protocol).

SolarBear,

I don't know what to tell you. Slackware-10.0 has all the right modules to
detect a USB keyboard with the bare.i kernel. Can you use this kbd
in Windoze? What type of kbd? mobo make and model? where is the kbd
plugged in? any adapter on it? I've installed Slack on a bunch of comps
with USB kbds - this one included.

If your mobo BIOS have USB legacy support option. TURN that on.
