INIT: entering runlevel 9

I've installed slackware 13.1, and this is the first time im using linux. the last thing i've done was changing "id:3:initdefault:" to "id:4:initdefault:" in /etc/inittab (i dont think i've changed anything else, but it seem i have).
now i cant start linux, the last thing it says is:

INIT: Entering runlevel 9
INIT: no more processes left in this runlevel

and nothing happens.
please help

if you use lilo:
press tab when the boot list shows up and type in
Code:
Linux single
that should boot you into single user mode.
then go and edit you inittab

(if someone who knows more sees something wrong with my post, please let me know)

Boot to any run level you like:

TAB at the menu then:

Code:
<Kernel name> init <run level>

Example:

Linux init 3

will bring you to a login prompt at runlevel 3 (slackware default)

Linux init 4

will bring you to a graphical login

You can also give a runlevel number, "Linux 4" will take you to runlevel 4 :-)

Edit: damn, this is what happens when you reply before refreshing the page :-D
