incorrect QTDIR environment variable

Hey guys,
I am trying to patch linux kernel 2.6.24.7 with drivers for via chrome 9, by guidance of this article: http://n00bsys0p.wordpress.com/2008/...h-via-chrome9/

the problem appears when I run command: make xconfig
I have following errors
CHECK qt
*
* Unable to find the QT3 installation. Please make sure that
* the QT3 development package is correctly installed and
* either install pkg-config or set the QTDIR environment
* variable to the correct location.
*
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `scripts/kconfig/.tmp_qtcheck', needed by `scripts/kconfig/qconf.o'. Stop.
make: *** [xconfig] Error 2

Can somebody tell, how to configure QTDIR variable I installed QT3 and pkg-config on my system and I have KDE desktop and full 13.1 slackware installation,

so I guess the problem is the value of variable.

May be somebody has tried to do the same process?

run
Code:
make menuconfig
xconfig it's broken.

you can try also "make gconfig" -nice too- if it works for you.

btw that article is super old, I think you don't need any of that patches with a recent kernel.
have you looked at the openchrome standard driver?
Code:
less /usr/doc/xf86-video-openchrome-*/README
