What command do you use to unmount your drive?

A common mistake is:
# unmount /mnt/cdrom
Where it should be
#umount /mnt/cdrom (or /dev/hd...)

I used to have that problem in GNOME until i discovered "eject" works for the CDROM.

Good luck
