Icon sizes in KDE

Is there any way to change the size of the desktop icons (and every other icon) under KDE? For some reason my desktop icons are bigger than my wife's icons (somehow that didn't sound right, but oh well).

The res I have specified in xorg.conf is 1280x1024 which is the native for our monitor.

go to kde control centre > Appearance & Themes > Icons

click the advanced tab
