I made it official

I'm angry at myself because I don't remember exactly how long, or what pushed me to find Slackware, but it changed my life forever. I started in a VM with Windows XP playing around. This was followed by installing it on laptops; along side my windows desktop, and eventually becoming my main OS. As a geek from a young age playing with legos until now Slackware has easily become one of the most valued tools in my life. There are days when I wake up, and have a huge smile on my face knowing the OS I use does exactly what I want it to do.

Thank You to anyone who continues to support this amazing distro. Patrick Volkerding I cannot thank you enough for the work you do, as it means more to me than my introverted words can explain.

Eric Hameleers, more donations will be coming your away.

Today I made it official

I agree with the sentiment, and join in the thanks all the way around!

The body art is a little extreme, even by my standards, but very nice if you must - better than a screenshot I suppose!

A tattoo is a huge statement of commitment in many cultures around the world.

As a Slackware allumni, I have only this to say in the words of C3PO...

Congratulations! You are now part of the tribe!

there was a guy who tattooed the glossy Slackware logo on his shoulder... i will try to find the thread :)

Slackware is amazing, it is the best Linux out there.

So true. I'm trying to setup a Raspberry Pi and Rasbian is just annoying to try and use. The setup that took 5 minutes on Slackware has taken days on Rasbian and still doesn't work.

Part of the ship, part of the crew, part of the ship, part of the crew :D

Think I'll have the Slackware logo tattooed on my forehead, like a third eye.
(2 seconds later)
No, I won't.

Praise Bob! You're one of us. Welcome!! :)

some associatives with film "Down Periscope":

Now, call me a prude if you want, but I don't think it's good policy for the Navy to hand over a billion-dollar piece of equipment to a man who has "Welcome Aboard" tattooed on his penis!

:D

But except of joking - i be very agree, a Partick, and Eric is very great persons. all respect.

Tattoo is maybe a little bit extreme. But hey who am I to judge.
For a while I wore a Cap. :)
Ever since I installed my first Slackware 10.2, I've only used this distro,
I recently started to use Salix, since I became a little bit lazy.
But Slackware deserves all the credits.

Quite a bold statement to get a Slackware tattoo considering your username.
