Question huge26 and modules

I installed Slack 11 today and told it to use the huge26 kernel. Much to my embarrassment I didn't notice the part about having to install the modules manually, so now I'm running 2.6.17.13 without a /lib/modules/2.6.17.13 directory. Can't get online or anything.

After some searching, I found that they're in the /extra directory on the install disc. I just don't know how to actually install them. Do I have to rebuild the kernel, or is it more simple than that? I appreciate any help.

I did the same mistake, but here's how I remedied it:

I booted into my no-internet slackware, put in the second cd, mounted it, went into the extras/kernel-x... directory, and just did "installpkg" for the modules and source. After rebooting, I got my ethernet card working with "ifconfig up eth0" and "dhcpcd eth0".

Hope it works for you.

Worked perfectly. Didn't even have to ifconfig up. Thanks a bunch.
