Huge nVidia drivers problems

I got Slackware 9.1 running and now i got some kind of problems with the nvidia drivers. I have tested all the drivers trough 1.0-3123 to the latest, 1.0-4496, and everyone gives the same problem.

The problem is that it's impossible to logout or reboot. The screen just goes black and it's freezes. Have to switch off using the power-button and then power up again.

I have tracked the reason down and it's seems the cable connected to the tv-out thats behind this problem. If i disconnect the cable, boot up Slack, and then connect the cable back there is no problems logout or reboot. But when cable is connected when booting up.....

It seems im not the only one having this probs, but have anyone find anyway around this frustrating thng. I dont want to crawl down the floor everytime im booting up, if u know what i mean....

By the way, my card is a MSI Ti4200-VTD8X

You may want to try this line in the devices section for the nvidia driver.

Code:

Option          "IgnoreDisplayDevices" "DFP, TV"
This tells the nvidia driver to ignore a digital flat panel and tv out.

that "Option "IgnoreDisplayDevices" "DFP, TV" " may work for his computer but i am trying slack on virtual pc 5 and it does the same thing, this is with the vga drivers, i will be installing slack as a dual boot on my pc later today as i was using virtual pc jus to see how it installs.
