HP Printer and Kernel 2.6.7

Hi there,
I upgraded my Slackware 10.0 to the 2.6.7 Kernel included in testing. Now I have a problem with my USB Printer HP Deskjet 930c. During the boot process the system freezes when the Cups daemon is started, but only when the printer is connected to the computer.
I never had the problem with the 2.4.26 Kernel even not wíth Slackware 9.1 and Kernel 2.6.6.

What can I do to make my printer work with 2.6.7?

Welcome to LQ.

It is possible that there is a problem with one of the usb functions in 2.6.7. 2.6.8.1 is out now, perhaps it would be worth trying that to see if the problem is resolved again.

With the new 2.6.8.1 Kernel there are no problems.
