check fstab looks like this:

/dev/hda3 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hda2 / reiserfs defaults 1 1
/dev/hda1 /mnt/hda1 vfat noauto,user,exec,rw,nosuid,umask=007 1 0
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom auto noauto,user,ro 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,user 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0

also check /mnt/hda1 exists.
