How to print to a WinXP VM via Samba from Slackware linux host?

Hi,

Actually i think i have managed to setup the Samba in the Slackware to connect to the shared printer in the WinXP VM. I am able to see the shared printer in Slackware when i type "lpstat -p -d"

Code:

bash-4.2$ lpstat -p -d -l
printer MP280_series is idle.  enabled since Fri 25 Jan 2013 01:58:49 PM SGT
printer windows_canonMP287 is idle.  enabled since Fri 25 Jan 2013 01:56:33 PM

When i typed "lpstat -P windows_canonMP287 resume.pdf", in the WinXP VM printer status, i can see that it is receiving the file, witnessing the
"size" status increasing. However when it has finishing receiving the
full file i.e (155KB / 155KB). The print job just disappears and nothing
printed out.

How could i resolve this issue?

Ops... i just tried it again. It works this time round. :-)

Thanks anyway, because most of the information i gather are from this forum to make it work.

Now i shall try out the scanner , to scan via samba to the WinXP VM from Slackware.
