How to play .rm , .rmvb files in Slackware 12.2 ?

Is it possible to run .rm , .rmvb files with gxine?
I downloaded all-20071007.tar.bz2 .How can i install this?
Can anyone refer a complete guide for playing various media files in Slackware 12.2 and configuring entire Slackware system?

What are the dependencies for this?

I'm sorry are you using slackware or ubuntu? :P Download and install mplayer from slackbuilds along with it's codecs and you should be able to play. Please consider searching before asking for help. You are creating a thread every 10minutes and asking for help regarding each and every thing. Better to get quick replies and answer your own questions by a bit of googling and searching this forum.

/usr/lib/codecs is where the MPlayer included with Slackware 13.0 looks for codecs. I don't know if uncompressing the codecs there without recompiling MPlayer will work, and I'm not really in a position to check right now (anyone?).

I always just install RealPlayer from slacky.eu.

I use mplayer to playe almost all the video format in slackware.
I have two decoder ,a skin, and mplayer sourse. But I forget how to build because I write a bash script to build long time ago, Every time when I want to build it just run the script.
I am lazy..
