What's the easiest way to run .mp3 files in slackware 12.2?
What are the dependencies to be installed?

There are several applications capable of playing mp3s out of the box in Slackware:
mpg123
xmms
audacious
amarok
... probably others.

If you did full install, just try playing them using audacious or amarok.

I like moc (music on console) from SlackBuilds.org. It works in console mode and in xterm window.
