i could not play midi file in linux
i have ac97 built in soud card with intel mother board

I'm confused too. I don't have any midi on-PC synthesizer for a long time... I just can load'em in kmid.

What happens when you try to play a MIDI? Is there an error? Have you tried Timidi? If you use ALSA, are all of the channels up? Are you using KDE, what is the status of your ArtsD?

i do not know clearly
u can found it in
/opt/kde/share/apps/kmid/maps/YamahaPSR500.map
