The easy way is to download a package suitable for your architecture and install using 'installpkg'. http://taper.alienbase.nl/mirrors/pe...ckbuilds/wine/

Morning Carl!

If you are running slackware 14.1 64-bit...
First you'll need to install multilib, in order to install wine...

Here's link to instructions.
http://alien.slackbook.org/dokuwiki/...are:multilib&s[]=multilib
(copy the complete link)

Download wine and build the install package (or, see links below)
http://slackbuilds.org/repository/14.1/system/wine/

Pre-built packages by AlienBOB (Note! some dependencies might be missing, such as webcore-fonts and fontforge. Both can be found at slackbuilds.org)
If 64-bit slackware
http://taper.alienbase.nl/mirrors/pe...1/x86_64/wine/

If 32-bit slackware
http://taper.alienbase.nl/mirrors/pe...14.1/x86/wine/

Am not sure if I am missing something here...

Feel free to report back if any issues (or if this solved the problem)...

Small correction: fontforge is not a direct dependency of wine, see this post by Alien BOB.
