How to Install Slackware current with SSD/GPT/Btrfs/separate partitions

Hi,

Sorry for bothering fellows slackers :D I need some help with this...

I trying to install Slackware 13.37 stable or current with the following:

GPT With LILO on the root partition NOT MBR, with 32G of virtual disk. For a future install in a SSD.
Code:

/boot 100M ext2
Swap 2G
/ 10G Btrfs
/var 3G Btrfs
/tmp 2G Btrfs
/home 15G Btrfs

With this I have a lot of different problem, I test only virtualized. (QUME-KVM, VirtualBox or VMware)

I can't show some errors because always is something new :S fix one and then other error appears haha lilo don't want to install, kernel panic or a lot of numbers in the boot.

If you test with MBR not work, have the almost the same errors.

What suggestion you have that can help me? Or some similar tutorial that I can follow... (Not this http://www.yodaconditions.com/?p=14 I already saw)

Any advice is much appreciate...

Best regards,
John

This kernel panic http://i40.tinypic.com/fcpovr.png I forgot that I have a test machine haha

I already did mkinitrd -c -k 3.2.13-smp -m btrfs -f btrfs -r /dev/sdbX (root partition)

request for lilo.conf

Hi John,
can you please explain what you meant by choosing boot partition not root partition. May be you can post your lilo.conf?

I'm trying to do almost the same. I've external harddisk. I've created /boot with ext4 and / with rootfs following article by yoda (may be that's the guy's nick). All my partitions are GPT. As you have mentioned, I get several error messages. Something like /sbin/init unable to mount /dev/sdb3 on /mnt no file or directory.. blah blah...

Thanks in advance..

Hey dont worry.... My problem was that I installed lilo on /boot. When lilo ask you where to install. I choosed root partition not MBR and then I choose my (/) root partition not /boot (this was my problem). Sorry for not upload the lilo.conf but I'm not home right now. but was something like:

boot = /dev/sda

image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = /dev/sda6 (root partition) => /
label = Slack
read-only

regards,
John
