how to install new gfx card.

Lo guys,

I'm finally gonna replace my ATI Radeon 9700 pro with a GF 6800 card... However i'm not sure if there are procedures i have to do other than just shutdown, replace cards, start up again...

I was wondering how i can remove my ati fglrx drivers (which apparently show in lsmod) in my slack machine, and if there is anything else i should do before i replace the card or not.

Thanks

You can just do what you said, shutdown change cards, and install NVIDIA drivers without uninstalling the others, just remember to change your xorg.conf.

I have it too but it won't affect anything if it's not loaded at boot
