How to get gvim color in vim?


For gvim
:hi Include guifg=#8040f0

Is it possible to get #8040f0 in vim?

Because vim is using the ANSI terminal to set the colors, you are restricted to that color set, for example:
Code:
:hi Normal ctermfg=blue
Sometimes you can use a 256 color terminal depending on your distro, eg:
Code:
vim -T xterm-256color
:hi Normal ctermfg=252
