Question How to execute pppoe-start on startup?

Dear all,
how can I execute pppoe-start on Slackware during startup or reboot? What is the proper way? Should I add a script on rc.d directory?

regards,

echo "/usr/sbin/pppoe-start" >> /etc/rc.d/rc.local

echo "/usr/sbin/pppoe-stop" >> /etc/rc.d/rc.local_shutdown

chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.local_shutdown
