How to configure persistent wireless connection with KDE

I have Slackware64 14.2 and the KDE desktop on host 'A'. It has only a wireless connection. The problem is that the connection is not active until I log on. So, if I'm trying to do a ssh connection from another host 'B' on the LAN I cannot if I've not first logged onto host 'A'. How can I make the wireless automatically connect on reboot regardless of whether anyone is logged on?

Note that I could configure this using inet1, but I'd rather stick with networkManager.

(I'm sure I've seen this answered before, but I can't seem to find it)

I gave up on networkManager because of consistent/persistent problems. See http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ml#post5723074. I'm using inet1.conf and, for wireless, wpa_supplicant. Works perfectly, no worries about who can connect when, or most importantly, connections dropping.
