How to boot slackware 14.1 on Aurora-R4
Hi,
I have just installed slackware on my computer from the DVD, but I have problems with booting. The setup recommends I use elilo because my hard drives are GPT/GUID, but I can only use that to boot Linux and I still want to be able to boot Windows as well (without using a Windows rescue disk to re-write the boot records) I made a USB boot stick during the setup, but that does absolutely nothing. And before anyone asks I did change the order of the boot devices so that it should be looking for a USB hard drive before anything else. Any advice? |

Please ignore this. I have it sorted out.
The trick was to change the BIOS setting after making the boot stick. The system then gave me an option to choose [UEFI Lexar...] instead of [USB Hard Drive]. Sorry I bothered you all about this. Huddyn |
No worries. Thanks for posting the solution :)
