I am just starting with Slackware and had downloaded CD1 and CD2 of Slackware 12.0. With these, I am able to do a "full" install.
Anyway since 12.1 is here and my 12.0 isn't really ready, I've re-downloaded CD1 and CD2 of Slackware 12.1. Somehow, I couldn't find kde during the install.
Maybe I am in a rush - late for an appointment (now!) or is Slackware 12.1 needing more CDs (maybe CD3).
Appreciate if someone can give a pointer, thanks in advance.
Has KDE been moved to CD 3 in 12.1? 'Cause it was on CD 2 in 12.0 and only KDEi and extra/ were on CD 3, and you could therefore do a full install using only 2 CDs.
[edit]Should refresh page before posting...thanks H_TeXMeX_H, that explains it all.[/edit]
Any idea how to check if rt73usb is supported by default in slackware 12.1?
If you have 12.1 installed already, you could try `modinfo rt73usb` (or `locate rt73usb`) to see if the module is present and loadable. modinfo will give some information about the module itself. The rt73usb module is compiled as a module into the generic kernel by default and can be loaded with `modprobe rt73usb`.
[edit]I believe it's compiled as a module in all kernels provided (generic, generic-smp, huge, huge-smp).[/edit]
