How do I ssh to a dhcp server?

I am trying to ssh from a dhcp client to the dhcp server and nothing seems to work. I tried the actual IP address of the outbound card on the dhcpd comp (68.45.*.*) and the internel IP address of the dhcpd comp (192.168.0.1) and nothing. I tried going to 192.168.0.255 but that's crapped out. I can get in ssh from the outside my not from the inside.

What exactly is "crapped out"? Could you give us more info. Can you actually try to connect, or does it just not recognize it as a connectable place.

If you can connect "from the outside" but
not from the inside my first educated guess
would be that you screwed up your firewall
rules ;)

However, as contra suggested, a little more
info would be appreciated, like an actual
error-message for instance :}

Here, have one of my favourite links!

Cheers,
Tink

Its an Iptables thing... I disabled my firwall rulez and everything worked. Anyone know how to let all port 22 thru the firewall/dhcp server?

How are you setting your rules?
Just look at your firewall script and
find the appropriate rule ;)
