How do I reset terminal attributes?

Hello!

Somewhere along the line playing with 'termios.h' I lost the ability to run some programs that I wrote that include termios.h, I'm looking for a way to reset default terminal attributes.

Thanks.

Tarts

Couple of points:

a) No change with a reboot.
b) The two programs in question dont work on my other unaltered box.

Im thinking mabey the change to 9.1 may have something to do with this.
The programs are here and here.
