How do I install a secondary HDD?

Hi,
I'm relatively new to the Slackware distribution of linux, and linux altogether.

After installing Slackware, I noticed that only one of my HDDs was in my storage directory. This drive was the one I used to install Slackware onto. I wish this entire HDD to be devoted to Slackware, since it is relatively small.

I would like to use my other secondary hard drive to store files and programs.

It is a western digital, I believe, and approx. 80 GB.

How do I get my other HDD to be recognized and put in the storage directory?

Thanks for any help you can provide,

Dustin Nieffenegger

Assuming it's blank, you first want to format it using fdisk. Then you want to install a file system using mkfs. Then you want to mount it using mount. Then you want to add a section to your fstab file so it will automatically mount when you boot your computer.

Here's a guide that goes a little more into detail:

Ok, I'll print off the directions on the page you linked.
I hope it works.

Thanks.
