How do I downgrade Nvidia drivers

I am running Slack 12 and am having trouble with the 169.07 drivers and would like to downgrade to the 100.14.19 drivers. I don't know the best way to go about it. Any ideas??

What happens when you just try and install the 100.14.19 driver?

I haven't tried as I don't know if that is the best way to do it. I don't want to screw my system up...LOL.

Just installing the lower version would work just fine. You should be able to find them somewhere on the nvidia site, possibly in their help/support section.

EDIT: Here's their driver archive: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_archive.html

You can use the --uninstall switch using the 169.07 driver installer, and then install the 100.14.19 installer as you would normally.

Usually when you install the nvidia driver it will automatically uninstall any previous version.
